Because of their halogen-free and low-smoke characteristics, they are heavily specified for use in environments with high concentrations of people and valuable assets, such as hospitals, airports, high-rise buildings, and industrial plants. The cable can be installed indoors and outdoors, provided it is protected against direct mechanical damage. It is not suitable for direct burial in soil or immersion in water without additional mechanical protection.
